Abigail Colder

I am passionate about creating socially resilient architecture and urban design, through the increased application of innovative technology led participatory methodologies and design processes. Throughout my masters I have used socially driven research questions to interrogate three societal challenges: UK housing crisis, gentrification, and Women’s safety in urban space. I have used participatory methodologies and narrative design processes to investigate experiences of the built environment through the eyes of those who do not usually have a voice in planning practices. I have applied this knowledge into proposing masterplans, co-living housings, mixed-use high rise and urban interventions that foster safer and more inclusive urban spaces.
